Beskrivelse: Mountbatten arrives at Saint Margaret's, Westminster, with the Prince of Wales as his best man. The King and Queen then arrive with the Queen Dowager. The bride arrives and enters the church. Outside, sailors fix a tow rope to the wedding car and tow it a short distance as cameramen move out of the way. The bridal procession emerges from the church under an arch of swords formed by naval officers, and moves down to the cars where an escort of mounted policemen waits. The sailors tow the car away down Whitehall. The King, Queen and Queen Dowager then emerge from the church with the remaining guests. The Prince of Wales walks with the maid of honour, Mary Ashley. Police hold back onlookers as the various guests leave in their cars, and the sailors in a charabanc covered with Union Jacks. The police continue to hold back the crowd. Outside Brook House the bride and groom's car arrives. The King and Queen then arrive and follow them inside. The cars of the remaining guests draw up one after another.
